My fears have run rampant as of late. This, in part, is due to the fact that my work load has been light and I spend hours on end each day reading the news at work. A horrible habit for a person who prefers blissful happiness over the harshness of reality (I am a self-admitted escapist). I find myself taken in by each story, and feeling the weight of the pain and suffering on my shoulders. Needless to say, it is easy to globalize the atrocities that occur, it is effortless to lose hope, forget to have faith.
But in the end, God is good. And in His perfect way, He ever so gently reminds me of His faithfulness, His purpose, His timing. And I have to say, this has got to be one of the favorite ways He has ever guided me back. He has used my very best friend(one I have had since I was 3!!), to show me in a undenialbly clear and unforgettably miraculous way that His power is made perfect in our weakness, doubt, fear. That He is good, faithful, and His timing is perfect.
I just LOVE this story. I encourage everyone to read it as it is an amazing testament to what God can do! And in a world with so much pain and suffering, this story is a beautiful reminder of the hope that is found in Him!
